Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 27/2100Z to 28/2100Z: Solar activity was very low. Region 1558 (N13E65) produced the largest flare of the period, a B6/Sf at 28/0307Z. Region 1559 (N18E63) an Axx-alpha type group was numbered today. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low to low with a slight chance for moderate activity for the next three days (29-31 August). IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 27/2100Z to 28/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was quiet. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels during the period. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be predominately quiet for days 1-3 (29-31 August). III.
